So there is this new band out there that at least in my opinion very sweet, and if you get the revalant box, you have it, but anyway if you dont, check out Misty Edwards!
I was excited to hear this because it was for a change, deep musically and lyrically. You can tell it comes from a more charsmatic church, one because the lyrics are focused on how much "God loves me" not so much on the theology of God. Which I think is cool for a change, to focus on the relationship side of things, and to be a bit more abstract in general. The other thing is that the songs tend to be long.
The other cool thing I like is that the chords are not the typical 1-4-5-4-1 progression that so much of the christian cheese worship music is these days...
So I guess the solution is to take stuff like this and adapt the "chapelesqe" or "conservative" side to it?
What do ya think?

Blog Widget!
For those of you using Tiger, Google made a sweet Widget!!
In Fact, I am using it now!!
The only downside is you can't edit once you post. You have to log in if you need to change it, but it is good for just making posts real quick!!

Glasses

So these days I am having to wear glasses. I started out thinking about this a few years ago, got them checked, and the doc said that I should wait if i felt comfortable doing so... So I waited. Besides, isn't it better to not have the hassle? (eventhough I thought it would look cool!!) I recently relized that my eyes felt really tired at the end of the day, and since I am driving home from Malone after midnight a lot these days, that can be a real problem... So all that to say, I am now a glasses wearer, and driving at night, and just in general is sweet now. I can see everything that is far away! Well at least I can see clearly and don't want to close my eyes... (Oh and Robertson, I ripped a nasty one in the car last night, and had to roll the windows down *ewww*)

trends
hmm, seems to be the trend that i post once a month, and while tired before midnight... so time for another one! Things are going pretty well, I changed out a bulb in a clay packy light today, kinda fun, worked all day 8am-9pm. those are always fun days because you know there will be a day off somewhere to compensate. That will be friday for me this week. I will go in the morning for prayer and meetings, but will take the afternoon off to go have dinner with Emily, her sister Julie, and her mother. This should be exciting, meet her fam!
Things with Emily are going really well. really well. I never knew it was possible to accept and be accepted the way that our relationship is, never knew it was possible to like someone so much, and not get tired of them, just tired of not sleeping enough!
we celebrated the "one month" on the 13th, and mixed it in with valentines day. it was sweet. I showed up with pink tulips (her fav color, and she loves spring flowers...) and then took her to carabbas for dinner (fav italian place!). Since I am a real sap, we went to "all fired up." (that is a place where you paint pottery, then they glaze and fire it, and you pick it up a week later.) she loved it! then we went to "coldstone creamery" where we had some ice cream. To top off the evening, I put together a book of the first "unofficial" month of conversation that we had over IM (which progressed to over the phone later) while she was in michigan on christmas break. it was only about 150 pages :-). All in all, it was a most fabulos evening! Oh, and she is working on finishing a blanket she is crocheing (sp?) for me! she is so awesome!
well enough ranting for this month...

Tiredness...
So it's about 11:30 on sat. night after all the Christmas Concerts are over. I'm am beat. Writing just to pass some time before I have to go to bed so I can go to church tomorrow. This has been testing by fire for my new job, working crazy hours to get the production off the ground.
All that to say it was worth all the work. I think the concerts came off awesome and glorified God. I love my job!
Also, I graduated today. That was a real struggle at times to stick it out, but glad I did. Funny thought though, as i was sitting in the ceremony, I was like "hmmm, I could start my masters now, think i'll do that." wow, can't believe I am saying that, but I think it would be cool to do, and different cuz I could take my time with it and it should be a little more intersting...
well enough for now, thats about as exciting as my life is now.
